Here at First United Methodist church, we regard children as a priority!  We believe they are our future!  They are the future of our world and our Church, therefore we have committed ourselves to train them in the "Ways of the Lord".  Our goal is to equip them to become disciples of Jesus Christ, through the reading, studying and discussion of the Holy Scriptures, through fellowship with other believers during our special events throughout the year, and through prayer, so that they may be empowered to live victorious lives.

NURSERY:
There is also an infant and young toddler nursery provided with paid staff for any church event or meeting upon request.  This includes Sunday mornings and evenings, all committee meetings, choir rehearsals and programs, Wednesday night dinners and classes, and all other Family Life activities.  Ages for the infant nursery are newborn to 24 months in Room 109.  A parent or guardian MUST sign in and out any children left in the nursery.  We are very pleased with our nursery staff, and they are willing to do what is necessary to insure a clean, loving and safe environment for the children.     

KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FIFTH GRADE:

Participate in a new approach to Sunday School….“POWER EXPRESS”

What’s it all about?

• Seven traditional Sunday School class rooms change into exciting   multi-intelligence centers hosting a specific learning activity.
• Each age level rotates to a different center each Sunday experiencing   the Bible story in seven different ways.
• Age levels include kindergarten through sixth grade.
• Learning centers or “stations” include:  computer, cooking, arts/  crafts, drama (theater), science, video/music.
