Children's News for Sunday, December 5th

Happy December to everyone! Several reminders of upcoming events:

1) It has come to my attention that the Permission Slip for children’s outside Sunday School activities failed to appear at your house.  ?????  Tanya will post it on the Children’s Website so that each of you can print it off and turn it in ASAP.  In addition, I will have hard copies at dinner tonight (Wed., Dec. 1) and at Sunday School (Sun., Dec. 5), as well as in my office.

2) We’re headed to McDonald’s after worship this Sunday (Dec. 5), and then we’ll return to the church to watch a Christmas movie together in the Cinema Room.  We are asking parents to pick everyone up at 3 PM.  You will be responsible for purchasing your own lunch at McDonald’s, and you will need to turn in your permission slip before loading up on the bus after church.

#3 Today (Dec. 1) is the deadline to turn in your reservations for “Christmas on the Pecos.” It is necessary to reserve each person a spot on the boat for the evening of Dec. 20.  PLEASE DON’T FORGET!!!

This event will be so fun!

the "Ways of the Lord". Our goal is to equip them to become disciples of Jesus Christ, through the reading, studying and discussion of the Holy Scriptures, through fellowship with other believers during our special events throughout the year, and through prayer, so that they may be empowered to live victorious lives.

Nursery

There is also an infant and young toddler nursery provided with paid staff for any church event or meeting upon request. This includes Sunday mornings and evenings, all committee meetings, choir rehearsals and programs, Wednesday night dinners and classes, and other Family Life activities. Ages for the infant nursery are newborn to 24 months in Room 109. A parent or guardian MUST sign in and out any children left in the nursery. We are very pleased with our nursery staff, and they are willing to do what is necessary to insure a clean, loving and safe environment for the children.

Kindergarten through Fifth Grade

Participate in a new approach on Sunday School..."Power Express"

What's its all about?

  • Seven traditional Sunday School class rooms change into exciting multi-intelligence centers hosting a specific learning activity.
  • Each age level rotates to a different center each Sunday experiencing the Bible story in seven different ways.
  • Age levels include Kindergarten through sixth grade.
  • Learning centers or "stations" include: computer, cooking, arts/crafts, drama (theater), science, video/music.
